Radish, Red

Care Guide:

A hardy, cool-season vegetable that is known for its rapid growth, Radish seeds are a wonderful choice to plant with children. In 20-55 days from planting from seed, these crunchy, peppery roots will be ready to eat. Because they germinate and grow so quickly, radishes are the perfect companion plant with other slow growing crops such as carrots and parsnips. Let the radish seedlings break the soil crust for the slower-growing root crops, and you will be harvesting the radishes right when the carrots or parsnips need more room to grow.
