Care Guide:
Both the roots and greens of Detroit Golden Beets are edible and packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Sow seeds directly outdoors ½ inch deep and 1–2 inches apart in well-drained soil. Thin seedlings to 3–4 inches apart for ideal root growth. Harvest when roots reach 2–3 inches in diameter, or pick greens young for salads. Although biennial in nature, they are almost exclusively grown and harvested as annuals.
