WHO Qualifies for Home Delivery Service?

Algonquin Area Public Library Home Delivery Service provides library materials to district residents who are unable to visit the library due to temporary or long-term physical illness or disability.  Patrons must reside within the Algonquin Area Library District and be eligible for a library card.  All circulation policies apply.

WHAT kind of library materials are available?

Participants may request specific titles or books by favorite authors.  Materials will be selected for you based on the reading interests you indicate.  In addition to books in regular or large type, participants may also request DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and magazines.

WHEN are the books delivered?

Materials are checked out to your library card and delivered to you at an arranged, convenient time.

HOW do I sign up for this service?

To signup for home delivery of library materials, please either fill out our online application, or you may download and print a paper application. A librarian will be in touch to schedule a delivery to your home.
